Hi Anria, thanks for the kind words. I started out shooting when I started my blog and am pretty much self taught. It has been a case of years of shooting, trial and error, online tutorials, books etc. :-)

Hey Sam!

I love food photography and your photographs are absolutely stunning. They remind me of a food photographer by Katie Quinn Davies of What Katie Ate and I’ve been trying to add some depth to some of my food photos when i practice – I was wondering, what is that backdrop you’re using in that very first image on this page with the ice cream? I know it looks rusted and scratched, kind of like an old piece of metal. I’m just curious to see if that was actually maybe like a sheet of metal?
