the new and exciting constantia fine food and wine market

There’s a new food market in the burbs and I popped past there last Saturday to check it out.

Its the Constantia fine food and wine market at the Constantia sports centre.

It happens every second Saturday, and whilst quite small and intimate now, there are plans to expand it further during the summer months.

Conveniently located with ample parking, there is a nice mix of vendors and its a great place to stop by and pick up some fantastic local produce, or sit and have some wine and lunch at the tables and chairs outside.

This is more or less what you will find there:

fresh fruit and veggies
fresh herbs
the very delectable yummy brownies made with proper chocolate
a range of lovely sausages and cured bacon
fresh fruit and smoothies
biltong
bread and other baked goodies
chocolate and confectionery
some seriously delicious crunchies and turkish delight
large range of homemade pies
cheese from Imhoff farm
a few exotic mushrooms
olives and olive oil

In addition you will find smoked fish, fresh sandwiches, sushi, kebabs, curries, cupcakes and wine.

What more do you want?

Soon there will be a few more exciting vendors so this little market is definitely worth a visit.
