amanda lewis the owner of saucisse deli

I instantly liked Amanda Lewis the owner of this  fabulous new boutique deli at the Old Biscuit Mill.

Amanda has a colourful background with wonderful stories about working as a chef on yachts in various exotic locations around the world. She has also done her time in quite a few well known Cape Town restaurant kitchens, and worked as a private chef.

She had a vision to create a deli / shop filled with wonderful imported products, and then after seeing what fantastic local produce we have available, soon realised she could get (almost) everything she dreamed of right here on her doorstep.

Most of the carefully selected produce at Saucisse comes from local suppliers. She is the permanent home for a range of artisan products that you would normally only find at the markets.

The shop is light and uncluttered, making browsing around finding hidden gems very easy to do. That, plus the personal attention make for a very desirable foodie shopping experience.

Nestled at the back of the Biscuit Mill and diagonally opposite the Test Kitchen, its a fantastic spot to visit next time you are in the area.
