hermanus boeremark
fresh bread
willow creek oil to buy by the litre - bring your own bottle

Whenever I stay in the Hermanus area over a week end, I like to pop into the Hermanuspietersfontein farmers market at Hermanuspieterfontein winery, Hemel-en-Aarde Valley.  It happens ever Saturday morning from 8am – 2pm and its a perfect place to pick up a few supplies for the mini break.

There are central benches and tables, so you can grab a bottle of wine and a snack and have a picnic.

better to get there early for breakfast
pickles, relish, breads and home made baked stuff
eat greek hermanus are there with wonderful home made greek yoghurt, tzatziki, spanakopita and dolmades and greek meze platters
bacon and egg rolls and pancakes are excellent breakfast options
fresh home made pies, jaffles, jams and preserves, pickles and spices - its all there

a market wouldn't be a market without the cupcakes
the market takes place in amongst a working winery and during harvest, its business as usual as you browse around

one of the things i love the most is the honesty box to buy a bunch of fynbos flowers (R20) - too lovely!
