The changing of the seasons ushers in a chance to reflect back on a period in ones life , and since such a large part of my life is around food, and taking pictures of food, these images are a good reminder to me of what has been. I have loved all the cooking, baking, sharing and eating.

There have been joyous occassions and so much learned, many challenges and happy times.  And whilst I mourne the loss of my little business that I poured my soul into, I am encouraged to look towards the future rather than live my life peering through the rearview mirror. I choose to see what I have gained out of what I have lost.

I’m on a beautiful journey with Drizzle and Dip, so I embrace the next few winter months and everything they hold for me.

Upwards, onwards and over the hill I go, and try to remember the following as much as possible:

‘Open your heart wide into the body of life.  Trust the dreams for in them is hidden the gate to eternity. And forget not that the earth delights to feel your bare feet and the winds long to play with your hair’

Khalil Gibran
