I loved the Big Bottle Festival this week end at the Cellars Hohenhort Hotel in Constantia. I attended the Saturday walk around tasting with delicious food made by a handful of awesome chefs.

Arranged by Fine Wine Events, it is a celebration of food and wine and not to be missed.

I tried to move between the two buildings which housed the event as much as possible so that I could sample most of what was on offer. As it was a rainy day and everything was held indoors, it was a little crowded and the demand for the food was high. Everything I tasted was phenomenal and I could have gone for a swim in La Colombe’s umami broth.
