One of my favourite wine events of the year is the Constantia Fresh Wine festival, and yesterday I spent a lovely afternoon on the Buitenverwachting lawns sipping delicious wines and bumping into friends.
As per usual they brought in a few top chefs – Bertus Basson, Peter Templehoff, Gerald Van der Walt and Brad Ball – to whip up a few stunning snacks which are served throughout the event. In previous years, the chefs made a few canapés in the early part of the day, finishing off with an evening braai. This was nice, but I much preferred the food arrangement this year. You could choose to eat what you want and when, and I was blown away by Peter’s tuna fish tacos and Brads’ roast pork loin roll with salsa verde. Bertus rocked the Big Green Egg grilling chicken breasts for his delicious noodle dish.
I think the pictures will tell most of the story.
I look forward to connecting with you again in the future.
