My best pasta recipes
I couldn’t let a day like #WorldPastaDay go by unnoticed on DrizzleandDip. I’m travelling in Italy at the moment and eating my body weight in the stuff along with amazing gelato, cakes, pizza and, and, and. I’ve always wondered who makes up these food named days and how they become a thing on social media? Please drop me a comment if you can throw any light on how they come about. Anyway it’s here, and it’s as real as my love for it, so these are a few of my best pasta recipes on DrizzleandDip:
Pasta with tomatoes, olives, anchovy, basil & lemon
Creamy pasta with artichokes, spinach & capers
Creamy salmon pasta with spinach, capers & lemon
Easy tomato and spinach baked ravioli
Slow-braised beef brisket ragu with pappardelle
Prawn pasta with tomatoes, garlic & cream
Creamy one-pan orzo with chicken, mushrooms & spinach
The best BLT pasta salad recipe
Tagliatelle with roasted butternut and mascarpone sauce
This is one of my all-time favourite pasta sauce recipes as it breaks away from the more conventional and uses the roasted butternut creamed with Mascarpone to make a decadent but delicious sauce. I often include crispy pancetta into the mix as this adds a lovely salty element to the dish.
Meatballs with Napolitana sauce
Classic and delicious. These meatballs are tender and always a winner.
Meatball & spinach ravioli bake
Here the meatballs get cooked with the spinach & ricotta ravioli in a tomato sauce and are then topped off with delectable fresh mozzarella to make this a super easy and super comforting pasta dish. I added spinach to the mix to add greens and its delicious.
Tortellini with Italian sausage meatballs
Here the meatballs are made out of fennel-laced-Italian sausages and baked with tortellini in a tomato sauce with cheese.
Chicken meatballs with spaghetti & Marcella Hazan’s famous tomato sauce
I discovered Marcella Hazan’s life-changing tomato sauce with this recipe and have not looked back.
Spinach and ricotta cannelloni bake
Comfort food at its absolute best with a classic combination of spinach and ricotta smothered in a delicious tomato sauce with melty cheese.
An old recipe from my archives and a vegetarian riff on a classic. I’m also obsessed with adding spinach to pasta dishes it seems as they feature everywhere.
Another blast from the past but I absolutely love adding a tasty bolognese sauce to mac and cheese.
I love the combination of salty pork sausages and peas.
Pasta with broccoli, anchovies and garlic
This is one of those dishes that is way more interesting than it looks or sounds. Packed with flavour, its a delicious recipe that will have you slurping up the pasta ribbons and wanting more. It certainly is my best way to eat broccoli.
Rosmarino pasta with roasted tomato, feta and olives
I love how easy rosmarino are to eat and work just as well in a salad too.
