My favourite recipes for sweets
5 years ago I wrote a whole cookbook entitled ‘sweet’ so it’s safe to say I am passionate about sugary confections. I thought I would round up a few of my favourite recipes if you felt like a getting out your sugar thermometer and knocking up a few delicious treats. These are my favourite sweet recipes on Drizzleanddip. All of these make lovely edible gifts when packaged prettily in a jar or with a ribbon.
Vanilla fudge with chocolate malt balls
I added everyone’s favourite malt balls aka Maltesers or Woolies malted puffs to a delectable vanilla butter fudge recipe.
Chocolate marshmallow sweetie pies
This outrageously wonderful recipe comes from Jan Hendrik van der Westhuizen and is easy to make.
Toffee, salted pretzel & chocolate bark
I combine my favourite toffee recipe with moreish salted pretzels and coat this in dark chocolate.
This is a total crowd-pleaser from my second cookbook and the spicy edge is mild creating a very interesting flavour contrast.
I love these pillowy light marshmallows with a hit of citrusy lime to offset the sweet.
Spicy buttercrunch brittle with roasted nuts
My buttercrunch brittle won’t send you to the dentist with one bite and the mixed roasted nuts make this a delicious confection.
White chocolate & green tea fudge
I add green tea powder to this creamy fudge recipe to give it an interesting edge.
Passion fruit curd & lemon curd
Two classic curd recipes to use in a plethora of ways.
My favourite salted caramel recipe that always works.
Rooibos tea meringues with rooibos tea and white chocolate ganache
I add roibos teat to these meringues and sandwich them together with a white chocolate ganache.
Strawberry marshmallows with Grand Marnier
