Winter has settled into Cape Town and all I want is to eat are these comforting recipes. After a disastrous year, we could all do with a little more of it anyway.

Roast chicken has to be right up there amongst the best comfort food you can get and these are my favourite recipes:

Baked Camembert dip with sundried tomatoes, garlic and thyme
I make this all the time and everyone LOVES it. I always keep wheels of Camembert in my freezer for this recipe.

Parma ham wrapped Brief with thyme
Wrap a wedge of Brief in Parma ham with a sprig of thyme and then bake. What could be wrong? Absolutely nothing.
