Whilst working on a recipe for my client Peel’s honey recently, and where I made the showstopping spiced date cake with cream cheese and honey frosting using three of their honey products, I realised I have quite a few delicious honey recipes on my website. I’m rounding up a few of my best ones to celebrate this magical ingredient that is made by magical bees. They buzz around performing little miracles in our food chain every day and deserve our absolute respect.
I adore this interesting fruit loaf that isn’t that sweet and perfect slathered in butter with a cup of tea.
This is my favourite granola recipe.
These cupcakes are a little different and a little grown-up.
Take your gin and tonic to the next level with this spicy rooibos & honey granita.
Infusing black pepper & thyme into honey and then drizzling it over fried feta is something I can highly recommend.
This is my favourite panna cotta recipe of all time. Simply delicious and the perfect way to end a dinner party.
This is salty-sweet perfection in each and every bite.
These are impressive on every level and an old hit on my blog.
I adore this crispy noodle slaw and so will everyone else.
Another treat that is salty and sweet. Perfect for summer.
This chicken doesn’t look like much but is so good. The honey and lime give it a proper flavour boost.
An unusual flavour combination that really works so well. Like a milky rooibos tea with hone but in an ice cream format.
Decadently rich and creamy ice cream for when figs are in season.
The honey offsets the bitterness in the stout here beautifully creating a delicious pan sauce.
Pork, rosemary and honey are a match made in heaven. Add a mustard dip to finish the story.
A sweet and savoury toast treat.
Serve these pears that have been roasted in dukkah on a cheeseboard. So good.
This is an old favourite on my website that needs to be pulled out and remade soon.
